The Verdict at a Glance
All 9 Bunny products, rated for your stack
Bunny's real strength for you is its media stack (Stream + Optimizer). Its edge-compute products solve a few specific problems. Its infrastructure products mostly duplicate Cloudflare / Coolify / Supabase — adopt those only if you ever consolidate onto Bunny.

Fit
What it does for you
Overlaps
Stream
ADOPT — LIVE
Cheap video hosting + adaptive delivery
— (best in class)
Optimizer
ADOPT NEXT
Auto image compression / WebP / resize for sites & apps
CF Polish (paid)
Magic Containers
STRONG — SPECIFIC
Run containers globally — e.g. Compliee's Playwright scanner
Verdict: your default video layer for the whole ecosystem. One Bunny Stream library per product (or per client), embed via HLS. Cost stays in pocket-change territory.
🖼️
Optimizer
Adopt next
Automatic image optimization — WebP/AVIF conversion, on-the-fly resize/crop, compression — served through Bunny's CDN via simple URL params. Directly lifts Core Web Vitals (LCP) on image-heavy pages.
Client websites — biggest SEO win: shrink heavy hero/gallery images automatically
Addee — deliver generated ad creative in the right size/format per placement
Posttee & Localey — optimize user-uploaded social / review images
QRcodee — serve generated QR / graphic assets lean
Displayee — the poster/thumbnail images that pair with your videos
Verdict: the cheapest way to fix slow, image-heavy client sites. Pairs with Bunny Storage or any origin. Note: overlaps Cloudflare Polish, but Polish needs a paid CF plan — Bunny Optimizer is a low-cost add-on you control per zone.
Edge Compute — Specific High-Value Jobs
Reach for these to solve named problems
Not everyday infrastructure — but each solves a real gap in your builds, especially work that doesn't fit Vercel or a single fixed Coolify droplet.
🎯 Strong fit for specific needs
📦
Magic Containers
Strong — specific
Deploy any Docker container globally with autoscaling, pay-per-use. Best for bursty, isolated, or globally-distributed workloads that don't belong on your always-on Coolify box.
Compliee's Playwright scanner — you already flagged it can't run on Vercel and needs its own compute. A container is the natural home: spin up to scan a site, scale to zero when idle.
Media / video processing jobs — offload heavy transforms without loading the app server
Isolated per-client workers — anything you want sandboxed away from the shared droplet
Verdict: don't move your apps off Coolify — that's cheap and working. Use Magic Containers for the workloads Coolify's single droplet shouldn't carry, starting with the Compliee scanner.
⚡
Edge Scripting
Strong — specific
JavaScript functions that run at the edge (Cloudflare-Workers-style). Handy for logic that should live close to the user, not in the app.
Redirects & geo-routing — the edge logic you lost leaving Vercel
A/B tests & personalization on client landing pages
Lightweight API endpoints / webhook receivers without spinning up a server
Signed-URL / token generation in front of Bunny Stream & Storage
Verdict: useful, but functionally overlaps Cloudflare Workers. If you standardize edge logic on Cloudflare, keep Edge Scripting only for logic tightly coupled to Bunny-hosted assets.
Situational & Already-Covered
Adopt only if you consolidate onto Bunny
These are good products — but you've already chosen tools that do the same job. Adding them now means double-paying or fragmenting your stack. Revisit only if you ever decide to run more of your delivery through Bunny.
🟡 Situational
🗄️
Storage Situational
Great as a CDN origin for media you serve through Bunny (pairs with Optimizer/Stream). Not for backups — that's decided: Backblaze B2. And user files already live in Supabase Storage. Only add Bunny Storage if you want globally-replicated media delivery separate from Supabase.
🌍
CDN Situational
Excellent, predictable per-GB CDN — best used to deliver Bunny-hosted assets (Stream/Storage/Optimizer). For app-level CDN + WAF + analytics your plan is Cloudflare in front of Coolify (free). Use Bunny CDN for Bunny assets; don't double-layer it over the apps.
⏭️ Skip — already covered
🛡️
Shield · DNS · Database Covered
Shield (WAF/DDoS) → Cloudflare's free WAF is your plan. DNS → Cloudflare DNS. Database → you're standardized on Supabase Postgres; don't fragment your data layer. No reason to adopt these unless you migrate wholesale onto Bunny's edge platform.
Recommended Adoption Roadmap
What to do, in order
Now
Keep proving Stream on Displayee
Finish optimizing the export pipeline (~18→5 Mbps) and lock the embed pattern. This becomes your reusable video template for every other app.
Next
Add Optimizer to client websites
Point image URLs through Bunny Optimizer on your heaviest client sites. Fastest, cheapest Core Web Vitals win — measurable in PageSpeed before/after.
Then
Pilot Magic Containers for Compliee's scanner
Solve the "Playwright can't run on Vercel" gap with a scale-to-zero container instead of a dedicated droplet. Validates the pattern for future heavy jobs.
Later
Consider Edge Scripting for token-signing
If you lock down Stream/Storage with signed URLs, a small edge script is the clean place to mint them. Otherwise handle it in your existing app/Cloudflare layer.
Hold
Leave CDN / Shield / DNS / Database to your current stack
Cloudflare + Coolify + Supabase + B2 already own these roles. Only revisit if you ever consolidate delivery onto Bunny.
💰
Cost reality: Bunny is pay-as-you-go with a $1/month minimum per product. Adopting Stream + Optimizer + a Magic Containers pilot is a handful of dollars a month at your volume — no commitment, toggle regions and products on/off freely. There's no financial risk to piloting; the only discipline needed is not paying Bunny for CDN/WAF/DNS you already get free from Cloudflare.
